Care and Use Instructions

Thank You for purchasing your Rock Candy Countertop or Table. We hope you enjoy your new product.

Concrete Appearance: Concrete countertops and tables are extremely hard and durable. They are made from natural materials, Cement, Stone and Sand. Concrete countertops will have a natural variation in appearance and finish which are unique to concrete surfaces. Expect a few small pits or voids. These are purposely left unfilled on the edges to provide a more modern industrial look. Pour veins may appear as small cracks or fissures on the edges or surface. These occur as the mix cures and do not impact the structural performance of the countertop. You may notice slight color or pattern differences throughout the surface. This is normal for custom pigmented concrete and part of its character.

Due to its nature, concrete is not impervious to scratching, staining, chipping and cracking. Proper care and use will help avoid those potential issues.

  • Use coasters, trivets and quickly wipe spills. Avoid contact with highly acidic materials like lemon juice, vinegar and tomato sauce.

  • Do not cut or chop directly on the surface.

  • Do not slide heavy metal or ceramic items across the surface.

  • Do not place hot items directly on the surface.

  • Do not place hot items directly on the surface. Concrete won’t burn, however prolonged heat could cause thermal expansion and lead to cracking.

  • Use mild cleaners, soap and water to clean up spills.

  • Do not use abrasive materials to clean the surface.

  • Use a sealer like DryTreat periodically to prevent staining.
